Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Guayusa leaves Loose leaf, dried
  • 1 tsp Cat’s claw bark Dried
  • 1 tsp Cacao nibs Or raw cacao powder as a substitute
  • 1 tsp Lemongrass Optional, for a citrusy finish
  • 1 ½ Cups Filtered hot water
  • Honey or maple syrup to taste Optional

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Herbs

  • Measure your guayusa, cat’s claw bark, cacao nibs, and lemongrass (if using). If the cat’s claw bark is in large pieces, give it a quick crush to help it release its goodness.

Step 2: Bring to a Gentle Simmer

  • In a small saucepan, combine the herbs and water. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer (not a full boil) over medium heat.

Step 3: Steep It Slow

  • Let the tea simmer for about 12-15 minutes, partially covered. This slow extraction helps pull the nutrients and flavor from the bark and leaves.

Step 4: Strain and Sweeten

  • Strain the tea into your favorite mug using a fine mesh strainer. Add honey or maple syrup if you’d like a touch of sweetness.

Step 5: Sip With Intention

  • Sit. Breathe. Sip slowly. Let this tea be a small ritual of strength in your day.
